Integrated System Testing - you can't do without it

• Written by Thomas T. Jarløv

"Why were there no EPO buttons on the garbage smashers on the Death Star? The Empire didn’t do Integrated Systems Testing!"

- That is how Mark Gelfo sets the scene for the next exciting AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) webinar!

Integrated System Testing is not just about having EPO buttons on the Death Star; it's about ensuring that various systems work together seamlessly, such as fire installations and AHUs.

What is an integrated system test (IST)

The integrated system testing is one of the most important tests in a commissioning process.

An IST the test where systems and equipment are tested together. Often also described as interdisciplinary testing.

It is the test which verifies, that the different subcontractors work not just works as a standalone, but also works together with all the other subcontractors work.
