BCxA Annual Conference 2025 - Commissioning

The BCxA Annual Conference 2025 heads to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the first time ever! From October 22–24, commissioning professionals will gather in the Steel City to share knowledge, connect with peers, and explore the latest innovations in our field. This year’s theme, Three Rivers of Innovation: Navigating the Future of Building Commissioning, promises an exciting mix of technical insight, practical solutions, and future-focused discussions.

Dates and Highlights of the BCxA Conference

Each day will feature valuable sessions across multiple commissioning disciplines - plus plenty of time for networking and exploring Pittsburgh’s vibrant culture:

  • October 22:
    • Opening sessions and welcome activities
    • Annual Meeting and Dinner — this year on a dinner cruise along Pittsburgh’s famous three rivers aboard the Princess Paddle Wheel
  • October 23:
    • Track sessions across mechanical, electrical, enclosure, and management topics
    • 4:00–5:00 PM — CxAI with Thomas T. Jarloev: The Fastest Path to Cx
  • October 24:
    • More specialized sessions and closing remarks

This year, I’m honored to be one of the conference speakers. My session dives into CxAI (Commissioning AI Agent) - a practical approach to integrating AI and automation into the commissioning process. We’ll look at how AI can remove bottlenecks, automate repetitive documentation and reporting, and free up more time for what truly matters: verifying systems and solving field issues.

Through real-world case studies, I’ll demonstrate how Commissioning CxAI Agent can be embedded directly into commissioning workflows — from asset generation and test execution to punch list tracking and turnover — increasing speed, accuracy, and overall project quality. Whether you’re curious about where AI fits into your process or ready to start implementing it, this session will show the tangible impact it can make.
