CxPlanner Secures Strategic Investment from Compounding Capital to Fuel U.S. Expansion
CxPlanner, the fastest commissioning software ever built for quality management in complex construction projects, has announced a strategic investment from Compounding Capital. Founded by Thomas T. Jarloev, CxPlanner is poised to accelerate its U.S. expansion with the support of Compounding Capital, led by its founder Kasper Grundtvig Knokgaard. This partnership highlights the growing demand for innovative commissioning solutions in key markets.
Founded by Thomas Toftgaard Jarloev, CxPlanner was born from a unique and inspiring journey. Thomas’s path to entrepreneurship began in 2011, when he completed his education as an electrician, later expanding his expertise at KEA - Copenhagen School of Design and Technology. His ambition took him to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he specialized in commissioning processes for complex construction projects. He went on to manage commissioning and asset management for billion-dollar projects at Copenhagen Airport, an experience that led to his realization of the limitations of existing commissioning tools. Driven to find a better solution, Thomas taught himself programming and, in his free time, developed a prototype that eventually became CxPlanner.
Launching CxPlanner in 2021 with a small team, Thomas and his co-founders Jens Christian Jensen, Lasse Hartlev and Malte Fryd Tønnesen have grown the company at an impressive pace. With a multimillion annual revenue, a lean team, and a growth rate exceeding 200% annually, CxPlanner is redefining efficiency in commissioning software.
Today, CxPlanner serves hundreds of clients across 20 countries, with particular success in the U.S., where the software’s speed and effectiveness have been highly praised.
Strategic Investment to Fuel U.S. Growth
Kasper Grundtvig Knokgaard, founder of Compounding Capital, brings extensive expertise to CxPlanner. With two decades of experience in investment, including a background at EQT Partners and McKinsey, and private investment in several successful software startups, Kasper’s understanding of growth dynamics in tech startups is well-aligned with CxPlanner’s vision. Based in New York for the past 12 years, Kasper’s insights into the U.S. market will be pivotal as CxPlanner strengthens its North American presence.
Kasper expressed enthusiasm for the investment, stating, “CxPlanner’s solution is a game-changer for the commissioning industry. Thomas’s drive and innovative approach have positioned CxPlanner as a leader in this niche market, and I’m excited to support their journey as they continue to grow and break new ground in the U.S. and beyond.”
Thomas continues, "CxPlanner began as a vision to create a tool that truly meets the needs of commissioning professionals, and it's been incredible to see that vision turn into a reality. This investment from Compounding Capital marks an important milestone for us, and I'm thrilled to have Kasper's support and expertise as we expand in the U.S. and beyond. His understanding of our business and commitment to drive continuous product innovation will be invaluable as we work to make CxPlanner the global leader in commissioning software."
